She graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire and did a postgraduate course having studied with David Oistrakh and B.Belenkiy.
She is a prize winner of international competitions and a soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonia. Tatyana is a vice-president of the Charity foundation named after David Oistrakh.
She is a member of the Russian State Quartet (1st violin). She has recordings on CDs. She performs on a regular basis having played in a big number of cities in Russia and abroad.
Being one of the most well-known teachers, T.Berkul is a head of Violin and Viola department of the Moscow Gnessin School of Music. Many of her students became prizewinners of international competitions.
She gives master-classes in Russia and abroad and participates in international competitions as a jury member.
