Awardee of The Moscow Government Prize in 2014.

He graduated from The Gnessin Russian Academy of Music with the specialization “percussion instruments” in 2010. His professor was D. M. Lukyanov.

From 2009 till present Ilya Bachurin is a teacher of percussion instruments at Gnessin Moscow City Music School, Moscow City Music School named by Blazhevich and Music School named by Shaporin.

From 2015 till present he also works at Gnessin Moscow Special School.

Ilya’s pupils are prizewinner of various international competitions and festivals as soloists and ensemble players.
