Associate Professor of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory
Marina Katarzhnova has been working at the Historical and Contemporary Performing Arts Faculty since 2007. Since 2019, she has been the artistic director and conductor of the Rosarium Orchestra (Historical and Contemporary Performing Arts Faculty).
Soloist and accompanist of the ensemble “Persimfans”.
Collaborating with Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble since 2017.
Since 2020 she has been a soloist of the New Music Studio.
Katarzhnova regularly gives lectures on the history of the performing arts, conducts master classes in various cities of Russia. Her teaching activities include educational projects for children and youth of different ages, starting from the youngest ones.
Among her students there are laureates of international competitions, soloists and artists of orchestras (MusicAeterna, Musica Viva, State Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Opera Orchestra).
Katarzhnova trained at master classes with Lucy van Dael (Germany, 2002), Marie Leonhardt (Netherlands, 2001), Felix Andrievsky (Germany, 1996),
Thomas Zehetmair (Austria, 2003), Roger Norrington (Moscow, 2002).
Laureate of the All-Russian Ippolitov-Ivanov Competition and the I International Yampolsky Competition.
