An additional training module “The basics of Conducting” is offered for the participants of Gnessin Summer School (12+).
Conductor Alexandras Shimelis (Lithuania) gives classes.
Alexandras Shimelis collaborated with the London Gala Orchestra, the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra (Great Britain), the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra (Latvia), the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra of the Sofia Music Festival, the “St. Kristofer” chamber orchestra (Vilnius, Lithuania), chamber orchestras of Klaipeda and Siauliai (Lithuania), Radom chamber orchestra “The Seasons” (Poland), Moscow chamber orchestra “The Seasons”, Moscow chamber ensemble “Intermusic” (Russia), State Lithuanian brass band “Trimitas” (Lithuania).
The program includes a compulsory module in the theory and one of the types of practice (optional)
Individual classes on the basics of conducting.
Maximum number of participants – 7 people
Mandatory part of the module – 5 classes
The cost of each class (60 minutes) without an accompanist — 4 000 rubles,
The cost of each class (60 minutes) with an accompanist – 6 200 rubles).
Lesson topics:
The round table will be after 5 “Theory” classes.
Individual-group conducting classes.
Rehearsals for musical pieces for soloist and orchestra (at the choice of the participant).
Maximum number of participants – 7 people
Practice includes 5 classes (the cost of each class (60 minutes) with an accompanist — 6 200 rubles).
Topics of the classes: «Analysis and rehearsal process over pieces for piano and orchestra, and for wind and string instruments with prchestra».

* works are selected and agreed upon by the participants during registration;
* participation in the Final “Summer Gnessin School” concert (on the recommendation of the professor);
* free entrance to the evening “Open Air” concerts (at 9 p.m.) for the participants of the educational module “The basics of Conducting”;
* certificate of completion of the training module;
* classes are held in the afternoon;
* registration fee (3000 rubles) are paid separately.
