Stanislav Davydov (French horn)

Stanislav Davydov was born in 1978 in Naro-Fominsk (Russia)

He graduated from the Central Music School at Moscow State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory and went to the Moscow State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1996. His teacher was a professor A. S. Demin.

During the studying in the Conservatory (1997-2001) Stanislav Davydov started working at the State Symphony Capella of Russia (artistic director and chief conductor – V. Polyansky) as a soloist. From 1998 till 2002 he was a member of the “T. Dokshitzer Brass-quintet”. As a member of the famous ensemble he’d played more than 300 concerts in Russia and abroad, he also had recorded 3 CD’s.

The various time he joined the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia (was headed by Vasily Sinaisky), he was a member of “Russian French horn quartet”, the prizewinner of the International competition “Brass-games” (Ulyanovsk, Russia) as a soloist and as a member of the “T. Dokshitzer Brass-quintet”. He was a soloist of the State Chamber Orchestra of Russia (directed by K. Orbelyan) from 2002 till 2010.

From 2003 till present Stanislav Davydov is a soloist of the “Helicon-Opera”, a soloist and the leader of the horn section of the National Philarmonic Orchestra of Russia since 2004. From 2009 till present – a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre. He is also a winner of the “The first Rimsky-Korsakov international competition” in Saint Petersburg.

Stanislav Davydov often performs with top Russian orchestras as a soloist and as a member of ensembles. He is a regular member of such festivals as the “Tarusa Winter”(the Svyatoslav Richter Foundation Festival), the “Moscow Autumn”, the “Vladimir Spivakov Invites …”, the “Art-November”, the “Return”, the International Musical Festival in Colmar (France). He was awarded a silver medal “For faith and goodness,” of Kemerovo Region in 2006.

He holds the title of Honored Artist of Russia in 2009.
