PERCARUS DUO ensemble. Mikhail Putkov and Vladimir Terekhov (percussion)

Percarus Duo – duet of soloists from The State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov”, Marimba One, Agner Swiss Drumsticks, Agean Cymbals endorsers. Officially, the duet has existed since 2015, but the musicians have known and played together for over 15 years.

Artists of the Percarus Duo ensemble – winners of many international competitions, including Italy PAS 2014, Drum Wave 2015 (Saint-Peterburg, Russia), Drum Fest Russia 2016 (Grand Prix, Moscow, Russia) « Renaissance» 2016 (Armenia) etc. Percarus Duo performed with outstanding composers and percussionists – Keiko Abe, Nebojsa Zivkovic, Katarzyna Mychka, Emmanuel Sejourne, Roger Svedberg, took part in the festivals “Other Space” (artistic director – Vladimir Jurowsky), «Brass Days» (artistic director – Vladislav Lavrik), in The Russian National Orchestra Grand Festival (artistic director – Mikhail Pletnev), and also participated in the Festival of Contemporary Music “Moscow Autumn” (organized by the Moscow Union of Composers), Festivals of Pop Music “Wild Mint” and “Invasion”. Percarus Duo musicians toured in Korea, Japan, China, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Germany, Austria, England, Italy, as well as in various cities of Russia.

An important event in the creative biography of Percarus Duo was a performance at the international symposium in Vienna (Austria), at the personal invitation of Nebojsa Zivkovic. After that, Percarus Duo performed with him in December 2016 in the Moscow Gnessin Special School of Music.

Artists Percarus Duo are the creators of unique multimedia percussion shows, the first of which was the show “The Pulse of Ancient Times” (2016). Since 2018 Percarus Duo created their own series of concerts “Territory of Rhythm”, which take place in the Organ Hall of the Moscow Gnessin Special School and the Small Hall of the Moscow Thaikovsky Philarmonic. Percarus Duo musicians actively cooperate with modern Russian composers, conduct intensive concert and pedagogical activities, conduct master classes, advanced training courses for Russian teachers and organize “Creative Workshops”, which are regularly held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saratov and other Russian cities. The most ambitious “Creative Workshop” is held annually in the Moscow Gnessin Special School in August.

Mikhail Putkov – soloist of The State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov” (artistic director – Vladimir Jurowsky), teacher of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and the Moscow Gnessin Special School. Winner of international and all-Russian competitions. Endorser Marimba One company, Agner Swiss Drumsticks, Agean Cymbals. Soloist of instrumental groups PercaRus Duo, Gnessin Percussion Group, Mooncake Orchestra. Member of the St. Petersburg Association of Educators and Performers on Percussion Instruments.  In 2015, he graduated with honors from the magistracy, and in 2017 he completed an Assistant Internship at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (professor D. Lukyanov). As a soloist and ensemble performer, he regularly performs in the leading concert halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don. During his creative career he collaborated with such outstanding conductors as Vladimir Jurowsky, Vasily Petrenko, Alexander Lazarev, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Valery Gergiev, Alexander Vedernikov, Charles Dutoit, Wayne Marshall, etc.

 

Vladimir Terekhov – soloist of The State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov” (artistic director – Vladimir Jurowsky). Endorser Marimba One company, Agner Swiss Drumsticks. Actively cooperates with Yamaha music. Winner of international and Russian competitions in solo and ensemble nominations. Holder of a fellowship of The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, «Russian Perfoming Arts» foundation, The Nikolay Petrov International Charity Foundation. Performs at the best concert venues of Moscow. He toured in the cities of Russia, the Baltic states, Hungary, France, Austria, Korea, Japan, and Monaco. In 2015, he graduated from the magistracy and completed an Assistant Internship at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (professor D. Lukyanov). From 2007 to 2011 he worked as a soloist-regulator in the Russian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Moscow, conducted by Dmitry Jurowsky.
